Tyla Marilyn started writing music and lyrics when she was 9. Starting out on the ukulele, she performed live for the first time at an open mic night right here at The Sound Lounge when she was just 11 years old. Since then, she now plays piano and guitar and has gone on to perform at numerous local events. She has released 4 singles since 2023, 2 of which were selected as BBC Introducing’s ‘Track of the day’ and subsequently aired on BBC Radio.

Cold July is a young band based in Guildford, that writes timeless, harmony-driven, Indie-Folk-Pop, with classic singer-songwriter influences that resonates across multiple generations of music fans. Their music has seen them nominated for both 'Best Indie Act' and 'Best Breakthrough Artist' at the annual Radio Wigwam Awards in January 2026.

MoKat is a five piece rock band located in Guildford who formed in their college “AC[M] Guildford” in 2024.
